Nattokinase is an kind of enzyme which is extracted and purified from natto ( a traditional and famous Japanese food made from the boiled soybeans fermented by a kind of important bacteria –Bacillus Subtilis).The traditional Japanese food natto is knowns and famous as its characteristically strong consistency and unique aroma but with tasteless. In some sense, nattokinase is is very much like the fibrinolytic enzyme produced by our body itself, called fibrinolytic enzyme. Human fibrinolytic enzymes are present in the blood as a defense against dangerous blood clots known to be associated with cardiovascular disease and stroke.Nattokinase also has similar thrombolytic mechanism with other commonly used thrombolytic drugs.
